Data formatting information
Please check this information and follow these procedures when sending your data to us for use in direct mailing. As your direct mail supplier, we would like to introduce a more user-friendly and secure method of handling your data.
At Pagefast we are handling more and more data every year, and we are aware that as custodians of your property we need to keep up to date with our security and working practices.
We are registered with the Data Protection Registrar (number Z8293481) and would like to stress that, in all cases, the data that you supply to us are used exclusively for the mailing of your printed materials.
We delete all data three to four weeks after the posting date, retaining it for that period purely to enable us to check and monitor any queries that may arise as a result of the mailing.
Important things to note...
To help us provide the best possible service to you, we would ask that you observe the following steps when presenting us with your data:
- Name your file using the following format: “name_version_datadate.file extension”
- For example, we would name the two data files for a Pagefast newsletter to be mailed to the UK and overseas: Pagefast_UK_180407.csv and Pagefast_OS_180407.csv
- Tell us how many names are on each list
- Identify the first and last names on each list (this is so that we can confirm that we have the correct files
It is very important also that you provide us with the following information about your mailing:
- The number of items that are to be mailed to each address, and the names of those items
- The address(es) to which any extra copies are to be sent
Finally, three additional points apply regarding the transmission of the data to Pagefast:
- Please send all database files to mailing@pagefast.co.uk
- Please send your data at least seven days before the proposed mailing date
- You will receive email confirmation within the next working day that we have received your data. If you do not receive this email, please contact us immediately on 01524 841010
